What is it, in the moment, that makes me take a particular picture? The color? The perspective? The angle? It’s hard to say. It has become reflexive, instinctual, a question of karma. I find photography to be an extraordinarily unstructured process, more like a feeling or a flick of the wrist.  When I go out on the streets to shoot, the less I think about what I’m shooting, the better the result.

This site is for all the people I have photographed over the past 40 years. . . and for you.
